Live World Cup analysis: (From 12:00 AM IST onwards)

9:30 PM IST: France will take on Uruguay in the second match of 2010 FIFA world cup. First match between South Africa and Mexico was ended in draw.

9: 40 PM IST: France is poor in warmup games while Uruguay decimated Israel. France has too many good players but…..

11:30 PM IST: In-form Malouda is not picked by France coach. No one can able to understand this France coach.

11:40 PM IST: When Uruguay is playing, you can expect entertainment and goals.

11:53 PM IST: France has wonderful players but coach failed to unite them. Coach failed to utilise their talents. Laurent Blanc will take over France reins after this tournament.

00:05 AM IST: Very few people in my town (Ongole in Andhra Pradesh, India) are talking about football world cup. I am missing world cup atmosphere which is present in many countries.

00:06 AM IST: Govou missed easy goal scoring opportunity in front of goal post. Frank Ribery provided wonderful pass.

00:08 AM IST: Ireland fans may be praying for France’s defeat. They may never forgive France and Henry for “handball.”

00:12 AM IST: Yellow card to France captain, Patrice Evra. But, France is in control of game.

00:16 AM IST: Diego Forlan tested Lloris with a direct shot. Forlan is in terrific form for Atletico Madrid.

00:18 AM IST: Ribery is impressive for France. Good save by Uruguay goalkeeper.

00:22 AM IST: Uruguay is opting for defence. They will suddenly attack and score goals and then defend. Except Brazil, most of the teams struggled against them. Already, Ribery and Evra are on yellow cards.

00:30 AM IST: Uruguay coach Tabarez made 2 changes in first team which thrashed Israel. His frequent changes seem to be affecting players.

00:46 AM IST: Half time. France 0 – Uruguay 0

This is a dull match unlike high voltage first match. Govou missed simple chance. Ribery impressed me with darting runs. Anelka made good runs but struggled to break Uruguay defence. I am still struggling to understand Uruguay game plan.

01:03 AM IST: Second half started. Who can bring life to this dull game? My bet is on Diego Forlan.

01:20 AM IST: Dull game. Uruguay substitution- Gonzalez is out and Lodiero in. 30 minutes left. No change in either strategies or pace of game.

01:25 AM IST: Can Uruguay make Mohammad Ali like final twist (who used to defend till last minute before giving final killer punch against tougher opponents)?

01:29 AM IST: France substitution – Thierry Henry is in and Anelka out. 20 minutes left.

01:30 AM IST: Diego Forlan missed a good chance. He got space and time but his shot is wide.

01:32 AM IST: France substitution - Malouda in and Gourcuff out. 15 minutes left.

01:40 AM IST: Red card to Loreido (Uruguay). Loreido who came as a substitute got 2 yelow cards in just 20 minutes. Uruguay is in trouble.

01:42 AM IST: Loreido got first red card of 2010 world cup. 7 minutes left.

France substitution: Gignac in and Govou out

01:46 AM IST: Whole game is now going on in Uruguay half. Most boring match between two poor teams. 3 minutes left.

01:48 AM IST: 3 Extra minutes. 150 seconds left.

01:52 AM IST: Match is drawn. France 0 – Uruguay 0

Man of the match: Diego Forlan (Uruguay)

To break dodgy defence, you need a genius like Zinedine Zidane. But, this France team lacks creativity.
