FIFA Poll: Best player never played in world cup

FIFA official website is conducting an interesting poll on Soccer World cup. Poll question is “Who is the best player never to have appeared at a FIFA World Cup?” Poll choices are Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, George Weah, David Ginola and Jari Litmanen. At present, Manchester United legends, Ryan Giggs and Eric Cantona are leading by massive margin.

My vote: Eric Cantona. His behaviour is a big minus point but no one questions his football talents. Eric Cantona and controversies are inseparable but he is still in the hearts of Manchester United fans. Football needs players like Eric Cantona and George Best.

Liberian legend George Weah is the major factor behind Africa’s resurgence in world football. David Ginola and Eric Cantona are great footballers who played for France during dark days of French football.
